Propcockpit for MetaTrader 5

Today Propcockpit connects to cTrader. Support for MetaTrader 5 is planned, and there is no date for it. If you trade a prop-firm account on MT5, leave an address here and you will get one message: the one that says it is ready.

One message, when MetaTrader 5 support is ready. The address is not shared, nothing else is sent to it, and it is deleted when you ask - write to hello at propcockpit dot com.

What it will be

The same cockpit, in front of an MT5 account: a chart, an order ticket that sizes each order from a risk per trade, and a rule check that runs on every order placed through Propcockpit before the broker sees it, against the daily loss, the maximum loss and a cap per order, with the stop carried to the broker. On a paid plan the order that does not fit is refused; on the free plan the same check is shown as an advisory. An order placed directly in MetaTrader 5 is read and counted, not intercepted. The walkthrough shows the five screens as they are on cTrader today.

How the connection to MetaTrader 5 is made, and what it can and cannot see, is the work that has not been done yet. That is why there is no date, and why nothing on this page promises one.

What works for an MT5 account today

Everything on this site that is about a firm’s rules rather than about a platform. The numbers come from your account, whichever platform shows them.

Keyboard

?
Open and close this sheet.
Escape
Stand down anything that is armed - the kill switch, an open notification panel, this sheet. It never commits anything.
Tab / Shift + Tab
Move between controls. Every one of them shows a focus ring.
Arrow keys
Nudge a focused panel around the canvas. Hold Shift to move it further per press.
Enter or Space
Activate the control that is focused, and only that one. There is deliberately no key anywhere that sends an order on its own.
