What this calculator assumes
- A USD-quoted forex pair moves $10 per pip per standard lot. For a pair quoted in another currency, or a metal or an index, use the calculator for that instrument or enter your broker's pip value.
- The size is floored to 0.01 lots. Rounding up would risk more than the budget, and the budget is the point.
- Spread, commission and slippage are not in the number and can take a filled stop past it. Leave room for them.
- The figures it opens with are an example. It runs in your browser and stores nothing.
- A prop firm measures its own rules on its own server, in its own time zone, with its own rounding. This shows where you stand by the arithmetic above; the firm’s measurement is the one that ends an evaluation.
