What this calculator assumes
- One lot is 100 troy ounces, so a $1 move is $100 a lot. That is the usual XAUUSD contract on cTrader; some brokers quote 10-ounce lots, and the value on the page can be changed to match Symbol info in cTrader.
- The stop is entered in dollars of gold price ($3.00), not in pips or points, because that is how a gold stop is thought about and placed.
- Gold's spread is wide relative to a tight stop and it gaps at the open. Spread, commission and slippage are not in the number.
- The figures it opens with are an example. It runs in your browser and stores nothing.
- A prop firm measures its own rules on its own server, in its own time zone, with its own rounding. This shows where you stand by the arithmetic above; the firm’s measurement is the one that ends an evaluation.
