Getting started

Sign up, connect cTrader, choose which accounts are protected, and arm the rules that gate them.

Setup is one page with three stages, and the page knows which one you are on - close the tab halfway through and come back to it later.

1. Connect cTrader

You sign in on cTrader's own page. Propcockpit never sees your broker password, and the permission it asks for cannot move money.

cTrader shows you every trading account on that ID and lets you tick which ones to grant. When you come back, Propcockpit shows you which cTrader ID it is about to bind and waits for you to press Connect this cTrader ID. That press is not ceremony: cTrader does not echo the anti-forgery token back on its redirect, so the confirmation is what stands between a walked-in authorisation code and somebody else's broker account being attached to your tenant.

2. Protect the accounts, and arm the rules

Every trading account on the ID is listed. Tick the ones Propcockpit should protect - live accounts arrive ticked, demo accounts do not, because a demo account is a thing to opt into. A ticked account opens its limits underneath it:

• Initial capital - the Initial capital your firm issued. This is the one field nothing can guess, and every percentage below it is a share of this number rather than of a balance that moves every tick.
• Max daily loss and Max total drawdown - as percentages, with the money each one comes to shown underneath.
• A firm preset, if your firm is one Propcockpit publishes rules for. It fills the fields and sets a ceiling: type looser than the firm allows and the field lands on the ceiling, in the open, with a line under it saying so.

Max open risk starts at 1% per order and is changed later on Risk rules rather than here - it is the one limit you will want to adjust while you trade.

3. Open the cockpit

The recap shows the rules as they were stored, read back from the database rather than from what the form believed it sent - so a clamp that changed a number is visible on it. Then the Terminal.

Nothing is enforced on the Free plan. Your rules are stored and watched, the cockpit tells you when an order would break one, and the order still goes - Plans says exactly what changes when you pay.
